Elnaz Shakerdoust talks about her new film at FFF

Iranian actress Elnaz Shakerdoust talks about her new film ‘titi’ during the Fajr Film Festival Q&A session.

Iranian actress Elnaz Shakerdoust, well-known for her award-winning film ‘When the Moon Was Full’, has talked about her role in the 39th Fajr Film Festival (FFF) contender ‘titi’.

The movie was screened at the 39th FFF and its press conference was held on February 8 during which the cast and crew members were interviewed.

Considering the diversity of the roles she has played in her recent films, Shakerdoust said, “Although technique has a significant effect on playing the roles, you should live a character’s personality and role, so you can make it believable”.

In response to a question about Shakerdoust’s successful appearance in the films by female directors, she stated, “The gender of the director is not important for me. Female directors are humans in the first place and then women. I can play in any good film. But I believe that when women come together and support each other, they can gain wonderful outcomes.”

Shakerdoust wrapped up saying, “While making the film, we had to deal with various problems such as limited filming sessions, shortage of the budget, etc. but we made it with love.”

In addition to Shakerdoust, the cast of the film includes Parsa Pirouzfar, Houtan Shakiba, Soudabeh Jafarzadeh, Hanieh Kazemi, Mehdi Farzieh, Zeinab Shabani, Manouchehr Amiri, and Mahyar Daneshmand.

Shakerdooust has appeared in a number of ifilm movies, some of which are ‘Red Light’, ‘The Night Bus’, and ‘Murder Online’.

Directed by Ayda Panahandeh, ‘titi’ narrates the story of a professor who intends to prove a thesis about the world’s ending. He encounters a strange mother who wants to have the competency of humanity.
